Redesigned Loan-Out Experience
Crew members will now benefit from a modernized loan-out experience, enabling significantly faster and simpler completion of their paperwork
What’s new: The new layout reduces visual clutter, improves navigation, and makes it easier to enter or update your information on any device.
What this means for you: Crew members can complete their loan-out setup with significantly less effort and greater confidence, thanks to a clearer, more intuitive process. All existing functionality remains the same, now simply easier to use.
New Loan-Out Entity Types
What's new: Crew members can now choose between LLC – Taxed as S Corp or LLC – Taxed as C Corp when setting up or updating their loan-out. These new options make it easier to accurately reflect tax filing structure, reducing confusion and ensuring smoother loan-out processing.
What this means for you: Whether new or updating, crew members can now easily select the exact LLC tax classification (S Corp or C Corp) for their loan-out. This ensures their financial information is always correct, minimizing potential payroll issues and ensuring compliance for greater peace of mind.
Redesigned Direct Deposit Experience
We’ve streamlined the direct deposit setup to make enrolling faster and more intuitive.
What’s new: The enhanced redesign eliminates unnecessary steps, improves navigation, and utilizes secure Plaid integration to simplify linking a bank account.
What this means for you: With fewer clicks and a clearer process, it’s now easier than ever to add or update direct deposit information, helping crew members get paid faster and with less hassle. Take a quick tour of the redesigned interface in our latest video.
New Gender Field for Canadian Crew Members
Canadian crew members now have the option to specify their gender, including non-binary, when registering or updating their profile
What's new: This important update supports our commitment to inclusivity and ensures compliance with evolving Canadian reporting standards.
What this means for you: Your comfort and control are paramount; this gender field is completely optional, giving crew members more flexibility and accuracy in how their information is represented in MyCast&Crew.
New Start+ Setting to Enable International Flat Deals
We’ve added a new optional setting to Project Onboarding, allowing you to enable international flat deals in the Start+ digital product. Enabling this setting allows Hiring Managers using Start+ to create international flat deals when the work location is marked as Distant and located outside of the United States, its territories, or Canada. This setting automatically integrates with Hours+, streamlining the onboarding and timekeeping experience for US crew working on international projects.
What’s new: You’ll now see an optional checkbox labeled “Enable international flat deals” in the Start+ set up form of Project Onboarding.
What this means for you: This makes it possible to indicate when international flat deals apply to your project, no extra steps needed!
