Share an Existing Report Template


You can share a report template with other users who have been provisioned to Reporting+. This will allow recipients to use the report template, including any fields, values, and filters, while only examining the data they have access to. 

Keep in mind: Sharing a report will not share data between users. This means users may see different data based on what they have access to. 

Share a New Report Template

  1. Log in to Reporting+ and begin creating a new report. Learn how to do this here. 
  2. Give your report a name and click Save Report. 
  3. Once you’ve added all necessary fields, values, and filters, click Preview. 
  4. Click Save to see the 'Share' button.
  5. Click Share. 
  6. Type the email addresses you would like to share the report template with, then click Add. You can add multiple people at once. 
  7. Click Share when you’re ready to share with the users you’ve added. 
    • If the user has not been provisioned in Reporting+, you’ll receive an error message and will not be able to proceed. 
    • If they have been provisioned in Reporting+, you’ll receive a message notifying you that the report has been successfully shared. 
  8. You and the recipient will receive a copy of the report. Your copy will be moved to your “My Reports” folder after you save it, and the recipient will receive a copy in their “Shared with me” folder.
  9. Click Run Report to open the report. 

Things to keep in mind:

  • The recipient will not receive a notification of the shared report. It will only show up in their “Shared With Me” folder. It will be moved to their “My Reports” folder once they save it. 
  • Any changes made after the share will not be reflected in the report. This includes changes made by both the sender and the recipient. If you make changes that you want the recipient to see, you’ll need to save your changes on your end and reshare it in order for the recipient to see recent changes/updates. 
  • The "Shared with me" folder shows templates that have been shared with you and by whom. 

Share an Existing Report Template 

If you have existing reports that you’d like to share with other Reporting+ users, you can do so directly from the “My Reports” page. 

  1. From the “My Reports” page, click the 3-dot menu on the report you’d like to share.  
  2. Select Share. 
  3. Type the email addresses you would like to share the report template with, then click Add. You can add multiple people at once.

  4. Click Share when you’re ready to share with the users you’ve added.
    • If the user has not been provisioned in Reporting+, you’ll receive an error message and will not be able to proceed. 
    • If they have been provisioned in Reporting+, you’ll receive a message notifying you that the report has been successfully shared. 
  5. Your recipient will receive a copy of the report in their “Shared with me” folder.
