Exciting New Update for Local 817 Weekly Drivers
We’re excited to share an update that will make timecard submissions for Local 817 Weekly
Drivers in New York and New Jersey easier and faster.
Key Details
- You can now submit one timecard (instead of two) when reporting overtime for Local 817
Weekly Drivers in Hours+ - Our system will automatically place overtime on a separate check
- A warning message will be displayed for payroll accountants to confirm if span provisions
apply and calculate span manually if needed - Span payments can be entered in the Allowances section of a timecard. To do this, choose
“Span” for non-hourly payments (such as 1/5th) or “Span2” for hourly overtime.
How it Works
- Single Timecard: All day types can be submitted on one timecard. The “OTONLY” day type
is no longer needed. Overtime (OT) will still be paid on a separate check, but you don’t need
to submit a separate timecard. - When OT Applies: In/out times must be entered for overtime to calculate. If in/out times
aren’t entered, OT will not be applied. - Flat Guarantee: If a crew member is paid a flat guaranteed rate and no overtime applies,
you do not need to enter in/out times. If hours are entered when no OT applies, the flat
guarantee will still be paid.
What This Means for You
- A faster, more streamlined workflow
- Fewer duplicate submissions to manage
- Reduced risk of errors in the process
