New users who are added to one of Cast & Crew's products are required to create an account with MyCast&Crew, the digital hub for all Cast & Crew products.
However, you don’t need an invite or need to have been paid by us before. This article will walk you through the steps to create your account as a new user.
To start your registration, go to https://my.castandcrew.com/register, enter your email address, and click Get Started:
Note: If you received an invite from Start+ for your project, you will create your password and set up two-factor authentication first. We also have an article to walk you through accepting an offer. |
Cast&Crew uses Plaid to verify your identity. Over the next few steps, Plaid will request your information to verify your identity. Click Continue, to begin the verification process:
Select your country and enter your phone number. You will then be prompted to enter the verification code you receive via text message:
Enter your first and last name as it appears on your government-issued ID, date of birth, home address, and SSN:
Note: If you see "Too young" when completing the date of birth fields, you will want to close out of the window and click Need to create a minor account? |
You will receive a success message stating your identity verification is complete. Click Continue to complete your MyCast&Crew profile:
Next, you’ll be prompted to complete your profile. Be sure to fill out any required (*) fields:
After completing all required fields, click Save and Next.
Cast&Crew will send you an email to activate and secure your account. In that email click Activate My Account:
Next, you will be taken through the account activation steps. Click Get started:
Create a password for your account:
Next, you’ll be asked to verify a phone number, which will be used to securely recover your password if you forget it in the future. Choose text or voice for your preferred method of verification.
Note: You'll automatically be enrolled in both text and voice verification after you add your phone number for text. The voice option will only enroll you in voice verification. |
Input your phone number and click Text me or Call me to receive a verification code via text or voice. You can add an extension if needed.
Input the verification code, click Verify, and enroll in text and voice. If you do not receive a code after 30 seconds, click Text me again. If you choose the voice option, you can choose to Verify and enroll in voice only.
Review the confirmation page, where you will find the email associated with your account. We recommend making a note of this, so you don’t forget it.
Click Go to MyC&C dashboard (or Log in to My Cast & Crew dashboard if you're on a desktop) to navigate to the login page.
Enter your new password and click Sign In:
Read the terms and conditions you are prompted with on the next screen and click Accept.
Congrats! Your profile is completed, you now have access to your MyCast&Crew dashboard.
If Identity Verification Fails
If Plaid is unable to verify your identity, you will be taken through the following steps to verify your ID documents via Plaid.
If you’re using a desktop computer, you’ll see a QR code to scan with your mobile device to get started. If you’re already on a mobile device, you’ll be taken directly to the first step.
You will be prompted to look at your smartphone to continue the verification process. On your phone, select with identity document you will be taking a photo of:
Then, take a photo of the front of your identity document:
Next, take a photo of the back of your identity document:
Plaid will then scan your documents to verify your identity:
Note: If Plaid can’t scan your ID, you will be prompted to try again. You will have two more attempts before having to contact Cast&Crew support:

Once you are complete with the document verification, you will be asked to take a selfie with your mobile device as part of the verification process. Plaid will verify that the selfie submitted is a live video of a real human and matches the photo in the document provided.
Once your ID and selfie are submitted and verified by Plaid, you will receive a success message and then be taken to the Cast&Crew confirmation page:
From here, you will click Next and finish confirming your information for your MyCast&Crew profile, found in the steps at the beginning of this article.
If identity verification still fails after this, you will be provided with contact information to Cast & Crew support for assistance with getting your account set up.
