Reporting+: How to Run an SB1162 Report

Learn how to run an SB1162 report in Reporting+ for gender and remote worker information.

Reporting+ now supports self-serve SB1162 reports from its platform. Here are the quick steps that you can go through to create, download, and save these reports. 

The report displays employee-specific information including the following fields: 

  • Gender 
  • Non-Binary (Yes/No) 
  • Remote Worker (Yes/No) 
  • Race, Ethnicity, and Sex Classification 
  • …and more.

Run the Report in Reporting+

  1. Log in to Reporting+. You’ll land on the homepage. Click Create a Report located on the left side.

  2. Click the dropdown and select the ‘CA_SB_1162’ data source:

  3. Click Create Report.

  4. On the next screen, select the project(s) for which you want to run the report and click the right-pointing arrow to push them to the selection table on the right.

  5. Once your project(s) are selected, click Confirm and Submit in the bottom-right corner of the window.

  6. On the report builder screen, select the fields you want to include in the report. For this report, we recommend adding the following fields:

    • Employee Name (Ee Name)
    • Gender

    • Non-Binary
    • Race/Ethnicity/Sex
    • R/E/s Description
    • Remote Worker
    • Work State

  7. Click the Preview button located at the bottom of the screen.Preview report
  8. Depending on the size of the data included in the report, you may have to wait a few minutes while the data is being retrieved.A screenshot of a computer

Download the Report

You can download the report in a CSV format by clicking the Download to Excel button, located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Save the Report

You can save the report by clicking on the Save button located at the top of the report builder to save it for later and retrieve it whenever you need to. 

  1. After you click Save, you’ll be asked to give your report a name. Then, click Save Report.

  2. The report will be saved under the “My Reports” section on the left.
