      I can't update my W-4 because there is a lock, what does the lock mean?

      Locked W4

      We received a letter from either the State or IRS asking us to lock your withholdings. If you have received a letter releasing you from the lock, please fax the release letter releasing you from the lock to 818-742-6568.
