What's new, what it means for your production, and what to do when action is needed.
What's New
Q: What changed in my Project Setup Tracker?
A: We've made it easier to understand exactly what's needed to move your project forward. Your Setup Tracker in Project Onboarding now shows more detailed subtasks for union agreements, along with specific notes from your Cast & Crew setup coordinator, right inside the tracker; no email required.
Q: Why do I now see subtasks inside a union agreement task?
A: Subtasks break a larger union agreement task down into the specific steps needed to complete it. Instead of seeing one broad item like "Union Agreements," you'll see each action clearly listed so you know exactly where things stand and what's still outstanding at a glance.
Q: What does "Action Required" mean on a task?
A: It means your Cast & Crew setup coordinator needs something from you before they can move forward. When a task is marked as Action Required, you'll see a note attached to it that explains exactly what to do next.
| Pro tip: Taking action quickly on Action Required tasks is the single fastest way to keep your project on track and get to your go-live date sooner. |
Q: Will I get notified when a task needs my attention?
A: Yes, you will receive an email from Cast & Crew when a new comment is added to the Project Setup Tracker.
Q: What if I'm not sure what to do after reading the note?
A: If you're unclear about next steps, you can add a comment to respond to the setup team. Think of this as your form of communication in one centralized place.
Your Project Timeline
Q: Does this affect how long it takes to go live?
A: It can actually speed things up. When you can see exactly what's needed and respond quickly inside the tracker, your project moves through setup faster, which means you get to payroll and production workflows sooner. The clearer the communication, the faster you go live.
Q: Which union agreement types are covered?
A: In this initial release, the subtask feature covers labor contracts. We're working to expand coverage to additional union agreement types in future updates.
Getting Help
Q: Who should I contact if I have a question about a task or note?
A: Start by reading the note attached to the task—it's written to tell you exactly what to do. Send a follow-up note if you're still unsure. If you still need help, reach out directly to your Cast & Crew setup coordinator and reference the task name.
Q: Where can I see all of my project's setup tasks?
A: Log in to MyCast&Crew and navigate to your Project Setup Tracker with Project Onboarding. All tasks, subtasks, statuses, and coordinator notes are visible there. It's your single source of truth for where your project stands in the onboarding process.
