As a payroll accountant, you have countless moving pieces to keep track of to get your crew paid accurately, and on time.
The payroll dashboard in MyCast&Crew centralizes vital payroll information for your projects, giving you a great overview to stay on track and feel organized.

Selecting Your Dashboard
When you first log in to MyCast&Crew, you will be asked to make a few selections to get your dashboard set up. You’ll only be asked this once and can update your selections at any time under the “Profile” tab of your account.
On this screen you will:
- Select your Primary role
- Choose which Dashboard view you would like
- Your options will be:
- Payroll Dashboard: This helps you process payroll, track invoices, and resolve discrepancies.
- Personal Dashboard: This will show your personal information such as your personal pay stubs, deal memos, and timecards.
- Note: You'll only see this option if you have a crew profile associated with your email.
- Accounting Dashboard: Keeps track of budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
- Note: The accounting dashboard is still being developed, but selecting this option will ensure that this will become your default dashboard once it’s ready.
- Lastly, select a project you're working on to view its dashboard. This sets your preferred view, but you can easily switch to other projects directly from the dashboard.
- Your options will be:
Dashboard Overview: Payroll Tab
After the above selections are made, your payroll dashboard will be available.
The dashboard includes various sections and tools tailored to the data you have access to. While we’ll cover all the available features, keep in mind that the data you see may vary based on your permissions within the products. Let’s take a closer look:
1. Current project view and project switcher: Use this to quickly switch between the projects you are working on. When you log in or refresh the page, you’ll always land on the project you selected when you set up your preferred view. You can update your preferred project at any time under the Profile tab in your account settings.
2. Dashboard tabs: Quickly switch between your personal dashboard, the payroll dashboard for your selected project, and the crew list for your selected project. Note: You'll only see the “Personal” tab if you have a crew profile associated with your email.
3. Onboarding: Easily track pending start packets and I-9s. This section includes three subtabs:
a. Pending hires: Shows all pending offers along with their current onboarding status in the right column.
💡 Tip: Use the three vertical dots at the end of a row to either view the offer in Start+ or send a reminder to the current reviewer/approver for the offer.
b. Verify I-9s: Lists all current crew members who need their I-9 verified.

c. Uploaded starts: Shows how many total starts have been uploaded/received along with their related Studio+ folder.

4. My Shortcuts: Add shortcuts to quickly access important links or documents within the Cast & Crew product suite. Click Add shortcut to paste the link for the shortcut.
a. Note: You can only add 7 shortcuts at a time. If you reach your limit, remove one or update an existing shortcut to add something new.
5. My Tasks: This section highlights tasks specifically assigned to you, filtered from the full dashboard view. Tasks can include offers requiring your review, I-9s needing verification, timecards ready for approval, and edits awaiting your review. Simply click Verify or Review to jump straight to the related task.
6. Timecards: Use this section to track your timecard and invoice approval process. This section includes three subtabs:
a. Pending timecards: Shows all pending timecards along with who the current approvers are and the timecard status.
💡 Tip: Use the three vertical dots at the end of a row to either view timecards in Hours+ or send reminders to keep these moving. You can nudge employees, department heads, or current approver(s) to take action on any timecard(s) that are stuck.
b. Edits / Invoices: View the invoices, the invoice number, the departments included, and the status of your various invoices.
c. Uploaded timecards: View the upload/received status of your uploaded timecard batches along with which folder they are stored in for Studio+.

7. Timecard Reminder: With just a few clicks you can send an email reminder to all crew members with pending timecards for the week. This widget is only available to Hours+ projects.
8. Checks to Print: Track how many physical paychecks are ready for printing.
9. Refresh Button: Click this button to pull the latest data for your dashboard.

Dashboard Overview: Crew List Tab
The Crew List tab on your dashboard lets you quickly find contact info for the crew of your selected project.
You can also click the Detailed crew report button in the top right to download a report that includes all deal points, allowances, and employee information. This button is available only if you have the right permissions as a hiring manager in Start+ and/or a payroll accountant role in Hours+
