Day players play a crucial role in the production world, and Hours+ makes it easy to verify their deal memo status throughout the timecard creation process.
With Instant Deals, Hours+ allows timecard creation for anyone who has received a deal memo that hasn’t been fully approved.
Instant Deals also are included in Hot Cost reports, providing more accurate data for your project’s budget.
This guide will walk you through the different screens within Hours+ that will notify you of a crew member with an offer that is still pending approval.
| Note: While Instant Deals allow for timecard creation, the timecard will not be able to be submitted for approval by the payroll accountant until the associated deal memo is fully approved. |
Daily Timecards
In the Daily Timecards tab, you may notice an Instant Deal icon next to a day player’s name. This icon indicates that the day player has received a deal memo, but that deal memo is pending approval.

Tip: You can also filter by Offer Pending Approval to quickly identify crew members with deal memos that have not yet been fully approved: |
Crew Timecards
On the Crew Timecards tab, you can select day players and create timecards for an entire week at once.
If a day player has a pending deal memo, the Instant Deal icon will be displayed next to their occupation.
You can still proceed with creating a timecard, and the icon will remain visible when selecting that occupation.
When you reach the Timecard screen, the Instant Deal icon will also appear in the top banner.

Timecards
The Timecards tab is the screen where you can search and filter for timecards that need your attention via the timecard status filters at the top. Just like the Daily Timesheets and Crew Timecards tabs, you will see the same icon indicating that the crew member has an offer that is pending approval.

Tip: You can filter your view to only show timecards for crew members who have offers that are pending approval for any of the timecard status filters you choose to apply: |
Reviews
The Reviews tab will also show the Instant Deals icon on the batch row. You can expand the batch row to see which crew member in the batch has that offer pending approval.
Reports
As mentioned at the beginning of the article, day players with Offer Pending Approval status who have timecards will be included in the Hot Cost Report.

Crew List
On the Crew List tab, you can also check the deal memo status by selecting the Crew member’s occupation and reviewing the Deal Memo Details.
Things to Keep in Mind
- If a deal memo was created for a crew member and you are still not seeing it in Hours+, verify that they have a MyCast&Crew account. If it still does not show, contact Plus Support for assistance: plus.support@castandcrew.com | (within the U.S.) 888-570-6180 | (outside the U.S.) 818-450-2895
- You can find the crew member’s pending approval offer in Start+ to see who still needs to approve it
- As the payroll accountant, you will not be able to submit the timecard for approval until the offer is fully approved
