In the coming months, MyCast&Crew, Start+, Hours+, Studio+, and Reporting+ are sunsetting Classic View. Your account will move automatically to the New Experience on the Cast & Crew Platform, and you won't need to lift a finger to make it happen. Below are answers to your most common questions.
Q: What is the Classic view?
A: Classic is the original interface experience across Cast & Crew products (MyCast&Crew, Start+, Hours+, Studio+, and Reporting+). It's the view many of you have used for years to manage timecards, access pay stubs, and navigate your day-to-day work.
Q: Why is Classic being sunset?
A: We want to provide you with a more consistent and modern experience across everything you do with Cast & Crew. The New Experience on the Cast & Crew Platform brings all five products—MyCast&Crew, Start+, Hours+, Studio+, and Reporting+—into one consistent, modern design. Maintaining two separate experiences limits our ability to build and deliver new features efficiently, and this move lets us focus on what matters most: building the best possible experiences for you.
Q: When will Classic be sunset?
A: Classic will be fully sunset in January 2027. Between now and then, users will be automatically transitioned to the New Experience in phases. You'll receive advance notice, both by email and in-app, before your specific transition date.
Q: What happens to my account when Classic is sunset?
A: Nothing is lost. Your account, history, and data stay exactly the same. The only change is the interface you use to access them. Once you're transitioned, you'll log in and land in the New Experience automatically.
Q: Will I be notified before I'm switched over?
A: Yes. Watch for an official notice: you'll receive a targeted email and an in-app notification with your specific switchover date before anything changes. The move happens on its own; there's nothing to schedule or set up on your end.
Q: Can I switch back to Classic after I'm transitioned?
A: Yes, but for a limited time. Once you've been auto-converted to the New Experience, the option to revert to Classic will be available until the end of 2026. This is part of our plan to fully sunset Classic by 2027.
Q: What's different about the New Experience?
A: The New Experience on the Cast & Crew Platform brings all five products into one consistent, modern design. Learn your way around one, and you already know your way around the rest. It features improved navigation, a better mobile experience, and a continuously growing set of capabilities. Because all new features and product improvements are being built exclusively in the New Experience, Classic will no longer receive updates. Explore the full differences here.
Q: I've been using Classic for years. Will I have to relearn everything?
A: We know change takes some getting used to, and we've designed the transition with that in mind. The core functions you rely on are all still there; they're just easier to find. Want a head start before your switch? You can explore the New Experience now by opting in from your account, or take a look at the overview guide.
Q: Where can I get help if I have questions after my transition?
A: Our support team is here for you. You can reach out to support directly through the new Resource Center on the Platform. We'll also have in-app guidance available to help you get oriented in the New Experience.
Q: I currently use the New Experience, does this affect me?
A: If you're already on the New Experience, you're all set! No action is needed on your end. This transition applies to users who are still on Classic.
