Cast & Crew’s New Experience is a unified platform that seamlessly integrates our digital solutions.
This article will provide an overview of the new ways to navigate and use the new experience.
Opting In or Out
You will have the ability to opt in or out of using the new experience at any time.
To opt in to using the New Experience, after logging in to your account, click Try New Experience:
If you prefer to opt out and return to the Classic Experience after switching to the New Experience, you can click Switch to Cast&Crew Classic in the bottom left corner:
Navigating the New Experience for Production Users
The left-side drawer is your global navigation. It contains the following buttons/options:
| Note: Your list of available buttons/options may differ depending on your permissions/access. |
- Cast & Crew Logo: Clicking this at any point to returns you to the Projects list page shown in the screenshot above.
- Notifications: These are your global notifications. All notifications across all your projects are centralized in one place. Click on it to expand and view them:
- Projects: All your projects on one screen. Click on the title of a project or Go to Project to enter into that project’s workspace. More on this later.
Tip: Use the search bar or sorting options to locate a project quickly: |
- MyCast&Crew: Access your personal information, including your personal timecards, offers, profile, tax documents, direct deposit, and more.
- Reporting+ (Permission-based): Access reporting for your projects.
- Studio+: Opens your global Studio+ access.

Auto Expand & Collapse
Depending on what screen you are on within the New Experience, the global navigation drawer will collapse automatically to increase your screen real estate.
You can easily expand it by simply moving your mouse over to the collapsed drawer:
Entering a Project's Workspace View
Once you select a project from the Projects page, you will enter that Project’s Workspace, and a new left-side drawer will appear next to the global navigation drawer:
While inside the Project’s Workspace, you can easily switch between that project’s apps. With a single click, you can jump from managing offers in Start+, to reviewing timecards in Hours+, to checking your edit reports in Studio+.
| Note: Clicking the Studio+ button inside of a Project Context will take you directly into that project’s Studio+ folder structure, rather than your Studio+ homepage like the global navigation Studio+ button does. |
The buttons/apps you see in the Project Workspace navigation drawer will depend on the permissions you have for the project you have entered.
Switching Between Projects
To quickly switch from project to project, no need to go back to the Projects page, you can use the project dropdown selector in the top left corner:
Selecting a different project will load the project’s workspace with the same Project Workspace navigation drawer.
Using Apps Inside a Project's Workspace
While the New Experience looks freshly updated, you’ll see once you open an app, things feel comfortably familiar.
Workflows remain the same as before, just with a new facelift. Some minor shifting of buttons or options may have occurred, but nothing was removed!
For example, in Hours+, you may remember that filtering options were listed on the left side. In the New Experience, we have moved them to the right side to keep your navigation drawers clutter-free:
The New Experience for Crew Members
Desktop Experience
For crew, the New Experience is streamlined and focuses on what is used most. The landing page for crew is your personal MyCast&Crew dashboard:
This gives crew access to quickly view and create their timecards, pay stubs, recent offers, and YTD pay as soon as they log in.
The left-side global navigation drawer is collapsed by default for crew, but a simple hover with a mouse expands it:
The left-side global navigation drawer includes the following buttons/options:
- Cast & Crew Logo: Clicking this at any point to returns you to the Projects list page shown in the screenshot above.
- Notifications: These are your global notifications. All notifications across all your projects centralized in one place. Click on it to expand and view them.

Mobile Experience
The crew experience is also mobile friendly:
When on mobile, your MyCast&Crew dashboard will have two navigation drawers, the global one and the MyCast&Crew one.
The global drawer to access Start+ and Hours+ directly will be in the header three-line menu and will provide your global navigation options:
While your MyCast&Crew dashboard options will be in the three-line menu below the header and it will provide your MyCast&Crew navigation options:
Once you are inside of an app, you’ll find that other than colors and subtle design changes, it feels familiar and the workflows you are used to have stayed the same.
