Splits in Hours+ Classic are being disabled and will be available exclusively in the New Experience. If you use splits to manage timecard entries for your production, here's everything you need to know, and what to do before access changes. |
What's changing?
The ability to work with splits is moving exclusively to the New Experience in Hours+.
You’ll be able to view existing split entries, but you won’t be able to create or edit them in Classic. This is part of a planned transition: Classic is being sunset at the end of 2026, and we're consolidating all Hours+ functionality into the New Experience, which is where all active development, improvements, and support are focused going forward.

Splits are available in the New Experience.
What happens when splits are disabled in Classic?
Once the change goes live, you won’t be able to create or edit splits in Hours+ Classic, but you will be able to view existing entries. You'll see an in-app message directing you to the New Experience, where you can continue working with splits without interruption.
Will I lose any of my splits data?
No. Your data is not going anywhere. All existing split entries will remain intact and accessible in the New Experience.
Does the New Experience support everything I do with splits today?
Yes. The New Experience supports full split functionality, including creating, editing, and managing split entries, with functionality for splitting SAG Episodic timecards coming soon! If you run into something that doesn't seem to be working as expected after you switch, contact Support and we'll help you get sorted.
When exactly is this happening?
Splits in Hours+ Classic will be disabled in the coming weeks.
Why is this changing now?
We're investing in one great experience, not two. By bringing everything into the New Experience, we can move faster, build better, and focus every improvement where it matters most: the tools you use every day. Hours+ Classic will be sunset at the end of 2026, and this is part of that planned transition to a single, stronger platform.
What does this mean for my production if we're still on Classic?
This is a good time to start getting familiar with the New Experience if you haven't already. Splits are one of the first features making the move, but Classic as a whole will be sunset by the end of the year.
If you're a production supervisor managing a team of payroll accountants, we recommend looping them in now so no one is caught off guard when the change goes live.
I'm worried this will disrupt payroll during a busy production. What support is available?
We hear you—timing matters in payroll. That's exactly why we're communicating this change early and giving you time to make the switch before it's required.
