Accessing Reporting+
Q: How do I access Reporting+?
A: If you were previously provisioned for Reporting+ Classic, you will automatically have access to the new Reporting+ when you log in to the new Cast & Crew experience. New users can be provisioned by contacting your Implementation Specialist or Reporting+ Support.
- Reporting+ Classic: Navigate to Reporting.castandcrew.com or My.castandcrew.com and click the Reporting+ link from the app selector.
- Reporting+ in the New Experience — Log in to the Cast & Crew experience and select Reporting+ from the left Global Navigation.
Once provisioned, you will receive an activation email, which will prompt you to create a login account. Simply log in to the Cast & Crew experience and select Reporting+ from the left Global Navigation.
Q: Which web browsers does Reporting+ support?
A: Reporting+ is recommended on Chrome, but is also supported on Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Be sure to enable pop-ups in your browser, as this is required to download reports from the application.
Q: Is Reporting+ available on mobile?
A: Reporting+ is not currently optimized for mobile or tablet. Given the volume of data fields available, a desktop browser provides the best experience.
Q: How many users can have access to Reporting+?
A: There is no limit to the number of users who can be added to a project. However, all users must be added by a Cast & Crew Administrator. To request additional users, please contact Reporting+ Support or your Implementation Specialist.
Company-level admins are required to access Onboarding & Timekeeping Custom Onboarding Data.
Q: Can users access all templates in Reporting+ or is access restricted?
A: Access is role-based. Users provisioned only for Onboarding & Timekeeping will see only Onboarding & Timekeeping related templates. Users with payroll permissions can access additional financial reports, keeping Onboarding & Timekeeping and payroll data separated by role.
Q: For Custom Onboarding Data from Onboarding & Timekeeping, can company-level admins view aggregated data, or individual client responses?
A: Both, depending on where you look. To view aggregated data across clients, you need Reporting+, which supports that broader reporting use case. Company-level admins can view individual responses directly within Onboarding & Timekeeping.
Q: How long does provisioning take?
A: Provisioning and training typically take 24–48 hours. Reporting+ Support or your Implementation Specialist will work with you to confirm the roles each user needs and which projects they should have access to.
Q: What if my organization has an existing standard of procedure (SOP) for user access?
A: If your organization has a defined SOP, all provisioning requests must be approved by the designated authorizers in accordance with that process before access is granted.
Using Reporting+
Q: How does Reporting+ work?
A: At the core of Reporting+ are data sources — collections of fields pulled from payroll and accounting databases that let you build reports for a specific subject area (e.g., payroll, onboarding, HR). Data is refreshed each morning between 4:00 am–7:30 am PT and includes data through 11:30 pm the night before.
Q: What is the basic workflow for building a report?
A: Log in to the Cast & Crew experience and navigate to Reporting+ from the left navigation menu.
Build a report from scratch, or start from a template.
Add, adjust, or filter columns as needed.
Preview the report, then export it as CSV, Excel, or PDF.
Q: Can I run reports across multiple projects?
A: Yes. Reporting+ supports both project-level and cross-project reporting, so you can view data across all of your productions in a single report
Q: How far back does historical data go for CAPSPay clients?
A: Reporting+ provides data from the point of the CAPS integration onward. For TTCO/CAPSPay clients, historical data is available starting January 1, 2025.
Q: What if I need payroll data before January 1, 2025?
A: If you need data predating the CAPS integration, please get in touch with your payroll coordinator directly. They can assist with fulfilling historical data requests.
For CAPSPay Payroll data, Reporting+ provides data from the point of the CAPS integration onward. For TTCO/CAPSPay clients, historical data is available starting January 1, 2025. If you need data predating the CAPS integration, please contact your payroll coordinator directly. They can assist with fulfilling historical data requests.
Custom Onboarding Data from Onboarding & Timekeeping is new as of Q3 2026; therefore, there is no historical data available.
Q: Why are Tax IDs (e.g., SSNs) displaying as masked in some reports?
A: In template-based reports, Tax IDs are currently displayed as masked, even for users previously configured to see unmasked values. Reports built directly from a data source do respect your configured access level. The product team is working to resolve this in an upcoming release.
Q: Are there features in Classic that are not yet available in the new Reporting+
A: A few Classic features are on the roadmap for the new Reporting+:
- Ability to duplicate a report
- Report scheduling
- Favorite a report
- Share a report
Q: Can I toggle back to Reporting+ Classic?
A: Yes. You can switch back to the classic experience using the toggle in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. You can also go directly to https://reporting.castandcrew.com in your browser.
CAPSPay and Onboarding & Timekeeping data is only available in Reporting+ in the new Cast & Crew platform.
Q: Is there a user guide or training resource available?
A: Yes. Please visit the Cast & Crew Help Center for helpful articles and videos on Reporting+.
