Required State W4 for Start+ Offers 

• Crew working on a US project will now be required to have a valid withholding form (W4) that is acceptable by the offer’s primary work state. When crew click “Begin Start Packet Forms,” they will be required to either create a new W4 that is accepted by their primary work state or confirm that their existing acceptable W4 is the one they want to use for this offer. Then, a copy of the withholding form will be available in Start+ and Studio+ when the offer is fully approved.  

• • You asked and we listened-- this new process will provide productions with forms that were previously only available to the crew.  
  • If a crew member previously did not have a withholding form, they were taxed at the maximum amount. This new process ensures that US crew members are taxed correctly based on their withholding forms.
